Smart solutions and cost-effective processes for a safer and more sustainable world

March 5 – 7, 2024, Paris-Nord Villepinte, France – Hall 6, Booth P82 – at the Baden-Wuerttemberg International pavilion | Freudenberg addresses the evolving requirements of manufacturers of fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) components with high-performance nonwovens. The comprehensive portfolio of nonwovens includes glass, PAN, and PET. These materials are specifically engineered for applications such as anti-corrosive coatings in piping and tank construction, UV-resistant facade panels, and various other end products. Surfacing veils play a key role in FRP components, ensuring abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, improved smooth surfaces, and enhanced mechanical strength.

Enka®Solutions products are designed for efficient resin infusion and foam injection molding processes. Thanks to their distinctive 3D entangled polymeric filament structures, they are exceptionally well suited for use as flow media and spacers in composites manufacturing processes. Enka®Solutions flow media for vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) and resin transfer molding (RTM) processes promote extremely fast and reliable resin distribution throughout the entire composite component. When used as spacers in foam reaction injection molding processes, the spacers press the reinforcement mat and the composite skin against the mold to hold them in place. This allows the polymer foam to flow freely through the mold to completely fill the cavity.
